Hello! My name is Tabatha Nichols, and I am the proud owner of Home to Roam, a dog sitting service based in Maryville, TN. As an avid dog lover and experienced pet caregiver, I understand the importance of ensuring your furry friends are well taken care of when you can’t be there. My mission is to provide a safe, loving, and comfortable environment for your dogs, whether it’s for a few hours during the day or overnight boarding.
And I’m Sheila! I have always had a deep love for animals and believe caring for them is a God-given gift. After purchasing seven peaceful acres last year, I wanted to create a space where dogs feel safe, loved, and truly at home. I keep my kennel intentionally small so every fur baby receives personal attention and the kind of care I give my own.
I have been married for 17 years and homeschool my 10-year-old daughter, building a life centered around faith, family, and stewardship. For me, this isn’t just a business — it’s an extension of my home and my heart.
Hey there! I am a homeschool mom of 3. I grew up on a farm and have always had a deep love for animals. I have many years of experience taking care of a wide variety of animals. From heading over to your farm to care for your animals while you are away, to caring for your pet at my house while you are at work or out of town, I would love to help you with all your fur baby needs!

Overnight Boarding
A day full of play, dinner with friends, and a cozy sleep spot at night — our overnight boarding is basically camp for dogs. They go home tired, happy, and full of stories (okay… tail wags).
Doggie Daycare
While you handle work, errands, or a much-needed break, your dog gets a full day of play, social time, and love in a relaxed home environment. No loud kennels — just sunshine, toys, friends, and a family who adores dogs.
Skip the mess at home — just bring your pup and we provide the tub, shampoo, towels, dryer, and cleanup. You wash, we handle the hassle.

We have a third location!
We’re excited to welcome Sarah at Home to Roam in the City! Sarah and her family live right in the heart of Maryville. She’s right next to a park and is happy to take your pup for a walk to get all the wiggles out. Sarah has three kids that love dogs so your pup will be given all the cuddles and loves they can handle. Dog Walking Available Now!
As you know our whole family helps take care of dogs here at Home to Roam. Our boys are homeschooled so they are in the mix all of the time from helping to feed the dogs, to playing with them, to our oldest making and selling dog treats. Being homeschooled, we encourage the boys to be entrepreneurial. Our youngest has decided he wants to start a dog walking business (with help of course!). So starting next year, Owen (and mom) will be providing dog walking services. Book now on the kennelbooker app!
